Wedding Testimonials

Here are just a few of the wonderful Testimonials that we have received from our Vanity Fare Caterers customers... we thought we would share them with you -

A wedding of our Dreams... that's what we envisioned on September 4, 2011 and that's exactly what we received from Vanity Fare Caterers. Every detail from cocktails to desserts was attended to by our coordinator, Jen. Every aspect of the reception was over the top, exceptional service, food and drinks. When they say - "one wedding at a time" they mean yours is the most important reception today.
Thank you Jen, for all you did.
-Marissa & Ted Dalley

I just wanted to let you know how happy we were with Andrea & Scott's wedding venue. Everything was just fantastic, from the beautiful rooms, to the amazing food, to the professionalism of all your staff, all was just wonderful. I am still getting calls and emails from guests telling me what a wonderful time they all had. That affair has been quoted as "the wedding of the year" by my relatives and friends. I just want to thank all of you for helping to make my daughter's dreams come true.
-Gail W

"Thank you for everything! Thank you for being our Maitre D and being there for us every step of the way! Thank you for being a doctor when my shoulder was bleeding after getting stuck by the best man's boutonniere, a seamstress when the bustle to my dress ripped, and a make up artist when my face was full of cake! Most of all, thank you for being you, kind, caring, helpful, thoughtful, and compassionate! We had the best wedding day of our lives and we want to thank you for helping to make that possible! With love always."
-Andrea & Scott Herbeck

Bat Mitzvah Themes - A to Z

One of the first things we do when we discover we are expecting a baby is to start thinking about names for our unborn child. If you don’t know the sex of your child, you usually come up with a list of both boy and girl names.

We even spend time thinking about middle names and how they will sound when combined with our last names.

One thing we might have wanted to consider 13 years ago, when naming our children, is the Bar/Bat Mitzvah theme! Not all themes need to revolve around your child’s name or initials, but some children luck out and have the perfect name or initials to work with their theme.

Renew Your Wedding Vows

Renewing your vows is a great way to celebrate milestone anniversaries. We've been booking and running a lot of 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries, and it’s a meaningful and touching experience not only for the couple but for their family and friends as well. Celebrating these big anniversaries allows couples to take a walk down memory lane, to reflect on the past and where you will be headed in the future.

Whether you actually renew your vows or just want to celebrate a milestone there are many ways to make the celebration a special one, there are many ways to make this as creative and personal as you’d like. You can have a traditional ceremony, or just renew your vows in front of all of your guests at a reception. Also, you can replay your wedding video, dance to your first song again, or even buy new wedding bands with special engravings. The reception should be a little less formal and a little more fun and relaxed.

We offer a variety of packages for anniversary parties; we’ve booked some at our traditional wedding packages, and then others at a seated service of buffet. The parties are always incredible and are catered to the couples individual wants and needs. They can choose silver linens and bows for 25th anniversary celebrations, and gold for 50th, either way the room always looks stunning!

Bridesmaid Dress Colors 2012

It is perfectly acceptable to choose your favorite color, the one included in your color palette to express your taste and personality regarding the bridesmaids outfits. Remember that every color has negative and positive connotations, and even combinations of colors can emphasize a chromatic aspect. One can even interpret the combination of shades from your wedding dress with that of the bridesmaids . Purple This shade expresses your creativity and also underscores your desire of individuality and the confidence you have in your new life. Pink suggests delicacy and your femininity. Dressed in pink , the bridesmaids will add extra romance to the wedding, and will look adorable and youthful when they sit next to you. Red is the color of love, energy and power. Matched with white, this color will highlight the intense love and passion you feel that day and at …

Wedding Web Sites

Setting Up A Wedding Web Site:

They offer numerous benefits to both you and your guests, and with countless customization options, the site can reflect your personality and the style of your wedding day. And the best part is that with the presence of online wedding website providers, you don’t have to be a computer geek to have your own site.

Amy Ruocco, founder and CEO of wedding window.com, attributes the increase in use of wedding websites to celebrity Star Jones, who used Wedding Window to create a site for her nuptials in late 2004. "After Star Jones mentioned her website on The View and couples realized how accessible wedding websites can be, the industry just took off," says Ruocco. “Now there are lots of companies offering custom designs, and it’s become a must-have, time-saving, budget-saving tool for couples."

Weddingwindow.com, like other website providers, allows couples to build the site themselves through a user-friendly, automated website. Customers start by choosing a template design, then customize the site through various design options. Wedding colors, flowers, location, and theme can even be matched to your site. Uploading pictures is as easy as a few clicks, and certain companies even allow couples to upload videos and music. And if any changes need to be made, the user can alter their site through the automated service instantly, without going through a designer.

Wedding Cake Trends 2011

2011 Wedding Cake Trends

I love cake. Who doesn’t love cake? And it’s one of the central parts of a wedding. Full of tradition and cutting that wedding cake is one of the most photographed moments.

So 2011 brides, this is what your cake may be like for your wedding:

Buttercream
– Forget the fondant! Buttercream is better. Seriously. You can argue about the look, but who can deny the taste of a super creamy sweet and lovely buttercream frosting compared to a plasticy looking fondant? When frosted evenly {and with a steady hand!} you can still get the smooth look:
