We are an exclusive caterer, meaning that we host only one wedding at a time, so you receive the ultimate in personal attention and extra services that make planning and hosting your wedding so much easier for you and your families and friends.

We can begin with your ceremony. We have a poolside patio and gazebo for outdoor wedding ceremonies. If the weather does not permit outdoors, we can have your ceremony in our beautiful ballroom. Your guests will move into our Regency Suite for cocktail hour, where they will be dazzled by your beautiful ice sculpture, butler and buffet style hors d’oeuvres, attended stations, international cold salad display and a premium brand open bar. You may join your guests or have a private cocktail hour in our bridal suite.

At the conclusion of cocktail hour, we will invite your guests into our main ballroom, exquisitely decorated with new carpet and a cherry wood dance floor. As the Italian crystal chandelier sparkles overhead, your guests will enjoy a five-course meal, featuring tableside ordering and second portions served to everyone. Your wedding cake is included, as is a second dessert and an espresso and cappuccino station. You may want to add one of our Viennese displays or Deluxe Chocolate Fountain.

Out of town guests will enjoy their rooms in the adjoining hotel, and they will receive a discounted room rate when they book ahead. Your bridal suite is included, complements of the hotel.

We've been booking and running a lot of 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries, and it’s a meaningful and touching experience not only for the couple but for their family and friends as well. Celebrating these big anniversaries allows couples to take a walk down memory lane, to reflect on the past and where you will be headed in the future.

Whether you actually renew your vows or just want to celebrate a milestone there are many ways to make the celebration a special one, there are many ways to make this as creative and personal as you’d like. You can have a traditional ceremony, or just renew your vows in front of all of your guests at a reception. Although not required, it is customary to give a gift to the boy or girl who is celebrating their bar or bat mitzvah. Bringing a gift is a great way to help the family celebrate the occasion, and of course, is very much appreciated by the child!

For the last few seasons, ruffles have been one of the biggest ways that designers have chosen to add volume and visual interest to their gowns.

The bridal gowns which are set to debut soon move away from the ruffle trend, but not from the idea of using embellishments to add volume and femininity. Instead of ruffles, look for gowns with hundreds of tiny three dimensional flowers stitched all over them. Soft petals are another favorite decoration for the romantic gowns for 2011. Oversized clusters of flower "corsages" are another big trend, and they are primarily being used as accents on waistlines or shoulders.

This rite of passage usually occurs when a Jewish boy reaches the age of 13. The words Bar Mitzvah translate to "son of the commandment," and refer to a time when a child reaches the level of maturity where he or she can be responsible for oneself and one's actions according to Jewish law.

We can begin with your wedding ceremony. We have a poolside patio and gazebo for outdoor ceremonies. If the weather does not permit outdoors, we can have your ceremony in our beautiful ballroom. A Wedding Story

With the weather staying hot and humid, Ashley has decided to have her wedding ceremony inside at Vanity Fare Caterers this Saturday.

Her wedding ceremony will be extra special while she and her fiance, Joseph say "I do" with some of their friends and family taking part in the forty-five minute ritual. The ceremony will take place in the elegantly transformed ballroom which will be exquisitely decorated with classic silk flowers provided by Vanity Fare Caterers, NJ. Afterwards, Ashley and Joseph will venture outside to take pictures in the beautiful courtyard by the gazebo while their guests sip champagne with fresh strawberries and enjoy the sumptuous cocktail hour replete with shrimp cocktail, butler passed hors d'oeuvres, sushi, a chef-attended slider station and mashed potato bar, just to name some of the tempting cuisine. After they have danced the night away, they will retire to their complimentary Bridal suite in the adjoining hotel and relax in the Jacuzzi while they relive the path that brought them to Vanity Fare.

It seems like only yesterday, Ashley has said, that they met when Joseph moved in two doors down. In reality, it was seven years ago but they have been inseparable since, even having attended the same college because one didn't want to be away from the other. Wedding Bells - A Love Story

Vanity Fare Caterers staff is looking forward to celebrating the wedding of Amanda and Joe this fourth of July weekend...

The two have known each other since grade school. They were never more than good friends. Joe even claims that Amanda went to a movie with his best friend, John, which Amanda denied. Joe remembers this because he always had a secret crush on Amanda. I guess it was mutual because Amanda finally admitted going out with John just to try to get Joe's attention.

Finally, these two reconnected at their 15 year high school reunion and the truth was revealed. They have been inseparable ever since. They have chosen to begin their married life at Vanity Fare Caterers, NJ as they read their personal vows to one another in the beautiful courtyard gazebo.

Vanity Fare Caterers Wedding Tip April 12, 2010

Beyond your Bridal Party, there are several other people who you will want to thank for helping to make your day special. When discussing tipping, the general rule is that if you hire someone from a company then you tip but, if you hire the owner, then you are not obligated to tip that person. For delivery and security people, $5-$10 per person is customary; for hair and make-up services, 15-20% of the total bill is what should be tipped; the same tip of 15-20% of the bill is also tipped to chauffeurs; valets and restroom attendants generally receive $0.50 per guest; photo and video crew can split 10% of the total bill as a gratuity and your Maitre d’ generally receives $2 to $3 per guest in attendance as a gratuity. Above and beyond the service charge, you can tip $20-$40 per bartender and $20-$25 per server if you would like. It is best to put tips in envelopes beforehand and have a trusted family friend or member of the Bridal Party distribute them discreetly.

When it comes to registering for your wedding, make sure that your guests have the opportunity to give you something that you really want, that you need and will use.

Start by registering at stores that offer registry rewards and an on-line registry service. This should be a great experience for both you and your guests. Register as early as possible so that your registries will be ready for any engagement parties, showers, etc. Try not to register at more than three establishments. When you have a lot of different registries, you confuse your guests.

Make sure to register for things that you will need and use and not what others are telling you to register for. Check your registry often on-line to make any adjustments as they are needed. Register for enough items (1.5 gifts for each person you invite) and at many different price points which makes it easier for people to buy you the gifts you want. Make sure that the groom has a say in what you register for as well. Remember to register for the things that you really need. It’s great to get nice gifts, but not if they are just going to sit in the cupboard.

It seems impossible that anyone would take advantage of someone while they are planning their wedding, but believe it or not, it does happen. To avoid this, follow these tips:

1. Make sure that you get everything in writing. This might seem obvious, but it is easy to take people at their word over small details. Make sure that everything that is discussed and agreed to is included in the contract.

2. Make sure that you read all contracts over very carefully. As stated previously, make sure that everything discussed is in the contract but, also, pay attention to cancellation polices.

3. Try to make as many arrangements as far in advance as possible. By doing this, you are allowing yourself plenty of time in case there are unforeseen problems. First, make sure that you have shopped around for the best prices, and have asked friends and family for referrals.

4. When it comes to your photographer or DJ, ask around, go to bridal shows and find someone that fits your style. When you have found a professional that you like, make sure that it is stated in your contract that that is the person who will be at your wedding and not a substitute.

Keeping all your wedding papers and contacts organized is a must when planning a wedding.

There are many books and organizers available at book and stationary stores. You can, however, quickly put together your own wedding planner, personalizing it to suit your needs. Not to mention, you will save yourself some money.

You will need:

1 3-inch three-ring binder
10 to 12 tabbed separator pages
Lined loose-leaf paper
10 to 12 clear, top-loading plastic protector sheets

Find a unique way to decorate the front cover, making this a unique book that you will want to save.

To create an organizer, take the tab pages and label each one with the following labels (make sure you put a few pages of paper in each section for notes):

o Calendar - create your own wedding countdown sheet or print one off from the Internet.
o Budget - keep your budget sheet here with estimated costs, actual costs, who's paying for each item
o Invitations & Thank You Cards - printing, guest list, postage, etc.
o Flowers - all flowers for both the reception and the ceremony, including bouquets
o Clothing - wedding dress, headpiece/veil, accessories, groom's attire, attendant's attire & accessories
o Wedding Ceremony - ceremony location, officiator, musicians, soloist, decorations, wedding programs, etc.
o Photography/Videographer - engagement photos, wedding photos, newspaper announcements, albums, videotaping, etc.
o Reception - location rental, table setup, plates & cutlery, decorations, entertainment, favors, labor, etc.
o Wedding Cake - wedding cake, groom's cake, cake topper, cake knife and server, etc.

No one wants to consider the possibility that a wedding will not take place. However, should you decide to cancel your event, do not expect your deposits back!

Some state laws contend that a deposit given to secure a time, service, or product is not refundable. The only reason a deposit would be returned is if the vendor providing the service/product is unable to deliver as promised and those terms of refund may be defined in the contract and limited to certain circumstances.

Deposits are used to purchase product or cover labor and time involved in preparing for an event, regardless of whether or not the event takes place, and cannot be returned later.

People are often apprehensive of giving toasts. But, for a wedding, it is hard to avoid this duty if you play a key part. Here are a few tips for making the perfect toast; do not be long winded, stand to give your toast, (remain seated if you are being toasted), prepare your speech ahead of time (and practice it), mention the person(s) you are honoring by name as well as what your relationship to them is and say something nice about the event you are at, add a funny (and tasteful) story, speak slowly and loud enough for everyone to hear, and it’s usually a good idea to avoid alcohol before giving a toast. And, as a general rule, toasting usually goes like this: at the rehearsal dinner the best man toasts the bride, the bride toasts the groom, the groom toasts the bride’s mother and the bride’s father can toast the bride’s parents. At the reception, the best man toasts the bride and groom, the groom toasts the bride’s family, the two fathers toast the bride and groom, and the bride and groom toast each other. The maid of honor may also toast the bride and groom.

There are so many traditions associated with weddings. Have you ever wondered where they come from? The tradition of throwing a shower for the bride originated with a Dutch maiden who fell in love with a poor miller. Her friends "showered" them with numerous gifts to replace her missing dowry. The bride and groom kiss at the end of the ceremony, it is said, as an exchange - each partner sends a part themselves into the new spouse's soul. Here's an odd one from Scotland: The bride is supposed to meet her mother at the door after the ceremony who then must break a currant bun over her daughter's head if she wants a good marriage. And, the best one yet - If a cat sneezes on the day before her wedding, the bride will be ensured a happy union!

In most cultures, a wedding ring is traditionally worn on the ring finger. It is believed that this originated from a Roman tradition in which a man gave a ring to the woman at the betrothal ceremony. The wedding ring is worn on the left ring finger because the vein in the left ring finger was believed to be directly connected to the heart. The Christian wedding ceremony of Medieval Europe included placing the ring first on the index finger, then the middle and finally the ring finger of the left hand, where it stayed. This practice was to represent the Holy Trinity — God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. A Greek Orthodox bride wears the ring on her left hand prior to the ceremony, and then moves it to the right hand after the wedding while in England, the 1549 Prayer Book declared "the ring shall be placed on the left hand”. Typically in places like Norway, Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Latvia and Spain, also in Indian tradition, the wedding ring is worn on the right ring finger. In the Jewish wedding ceremony, the groom places the ring on the bride's index finger and the ring is then moved to the ring finger after the ceremony.

When it comes time to book a band or DJ, make sure that you ask around. Talk to people and find out who they have used. If you can find out when and where a particular band is playing, then it would be a good idea to hear them first. The same is true for a DJ.

The best way to find one is to attend a Bridal Showcase which usually features not only entertainment companies, but other vendors as well.

In theory, if you can get through the stress of planning a wedding together, you should be able to get through anything, right? Well, here is some time-tested wisdom to help couples get through the rough patches:

Try not to be angry at the same time;

Never go to bed angry or without having settled an argument;

Remember to treat each other with respect – too often we treat total strangers better than we treat our loved ones so try not to take each other for granted;

If you do have to say something critical, try to do it in a gentle manner – point out a positive before you point out the negative;

Let the past go – once you have forgiven past mistakes you must mean it! (And admit when you do something wrong)

Choose your battles – sometimes you come out ahead by letting your spouse win an argument (remember it takes two to make an argument – sometimes it’s better if you just back out);

Try to say something nice to each other every day;
